The Kindergarten class at Siegel Elementary made a “splash” in the STEAM lab exploring an ocean biome!!
Ms. Crumbaugh’s 2nd graders at Cason Lane Academy were too cute in their tutus for 2/22/22! They had double recess, practiced twos homophones, and did some fun math brainteasers from Cindy Cliche.
3rd Graders in Mr. Thomas’ class at Siegel Elementary have been earning “belts” for multiplication facts. Students who earned all their belts met with Bill Taylor from Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate to learn about about karate, the belt system, and then got to break a board.
Emily Harris may be a new Biology teacher at Blackman High School, but thanks to Rutherford County Schools’ Educator Preparation Provider program, Harris is very prepared to excel in the classroom. “I’m from Rutherford County. So, I actually went to school at Oakland. My husband works here (at Blackman High School) as well,” Harris said….
Ever wanted to learn more about dyslexia? This is a 4 hour presentation for educators, parents of children with dyslexia, individuals who have dyslexia and anyone wanting to learn about dyslexia on March 5th from 11am-3pm at the Riverdale High School Auditorium. The 2022 RCS All-County Bands Concert will take place Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at World Outreach Church, and the public is encouraged to attend free of charge. Congratulations to Stewart’s Creek Girls Basketball team who won their 1st district title last night!! They beat out Smyrna and Cane Ridge and play in regionals starting Friday. First title in the schools history (which is 2013). Great job girls and good luck in the regionals!
