Tennis Balls for PAWS hosted by Operation: Rutherford Recycles
Operation: Rutherford Recycles will be hosting a “recycling” booth to collect flat or lightly used tennis balls for PAWS of Rutherford County. It will not only benefit PAWS, but will provide an outlet for the community to get their used tennis balls out of the landfill and into the shelter for the animals to play with.
Tennis Balls for PAWS will be in association with the upcoming PAWS Adoption Trailer Event. The purpose is to provide an outlet for the public to “recycle” their lightly used or flat tennis balls by donating them. In light of the news of the impending Middle Point landfill closure, Operation: Rutherford Recycles wants to provide new and resourceful ways for residents to recycle and reuse products from their homes. PAWS uses the lightly used and new tennis balls for their dogs. There will be an opportunity for anyone that chooses to donate their tennis balls to win a 25 dollar gift card from Animal City of Murfreesboro.
Tennis Balls for PAWS will be held on Saturday, February 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Bark Park off of Espey Drive in Smyrna, TN. It will be hosted in a tent next to the PAWS Adoption Trailer.
You can meet all of the sweet dogs on the adoption truck, and feel good knowing you cleared your garage of tennis balls you no longer use!
