The Human Bean, a national specialty-coffee franchise built around the fast, friendly drive-thru, has opened its doors at 1803 Memorial Boulevard, pouring its first cups for commuters and early risers along one of the city's busiest north-side corridors.
The location is locally owned and operated by Scott and Anita Findlay, and it carries a distinction that coffee fans across the region have been waiting on: it is the brand's first location in the greater Nashville area. For a chain known for compact, efficiency-minded kiosks that move a line of cars without sacrificing quality in the cup, Murfreesboro is a fitting place to plant that first flag. The city's relentless growth, its commuter-heavy arteries, and a population that has embraced independent and craft coffee alike have turned Rutherford County into one of Middle Tennessee's most competitive — and caffeinated — markets.
The Memorial Boulevard shop is a roughly 745-square-foot drive-thru kiosk designed to keep things moving.
