Two MPD Sergeants graduate from Northwestern School of Police and Staff Command

The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) is proud to announce the graduation of Sergeant Jason Higgins and Sergeant Wayne Lawson from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

Higgins and Lawson are part of the Northwestern School of Police and Staff Command 460th class. A graduation ceremony was held Friday, May 31, at Nashville Airport Marriott.

The School of Police Staff and Command is an intensive management development program that instructs law enforcement managers on a variety of topics of study including: Leadership and Management, Budgeting, Contemporary Policing, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Statistics, Planning and Policy Development, and Resource Allocation.

Higgins and Lawson join several other MPD command staff members who have graduated from the program.
