United Way of South Central Tennessee Brings the BBQ to Kick Off the Summer with Signature Fundraiser
United Way of South Central Tennessee’s signature fundraiser is back for its 15th year – with a new twist. Red, White, and BBQ, will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Copper Ridge Event Venue from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. This signature summer kick-off will feature an evening of exceptional food, live entertainment, and fundraising activities, all aimed at making a meaningful impact on the local community.
Red, White, and BBQ’s food will be prepared by Chef, Pitmaster, and Food Visionary Shaticka Robinson, the winner of Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown Season Three. Chef Shaticka is famous for her “bougie barbeque,” and as a local resident, she is excited to use her talents to give back to the community she loves. Attendees will have the opportunity to support United Way’s mission through a silent auction, and wine and whiskey pulls throughout the evening.
“Red, White and BBQ isn’t just another event—it’s a powerful way to make a real difference in our local community,” shared United Way of South Central Tennessee President and CEO, Kristen Swann. “Every ticket, every bite, and every moment of fun directly supports local neighbors who need a helping hand. By coming together for great food and a great cause, we’re proving that community support can be delicious and meaningful.”
The event would not be possible without our supporting sponsors: Adams + Swann, Ascension St. Thomas, Bridgestone, Casey Rainey with Raymond James, Deb Thompson’s Connect Leadership Coaching, Don and Melanie Clayton, Dr. Ellen Slicker, First Community Mortgage and FCM Cares, First Horizon Bank, Ingram Content Group, Layne and Tab Talbott, Matthew and Julie Stump, Middle Tennessee Electric, Middle Tennessee Realtors Association, Miller Loughry Beach Insurance, Murfreesboro Young Professionals, Old National Bank, Pinnacle Financial Partners, Rachel and Billy Bruce, Redstone Federal Credit Union, Simmons Bank, State Farm – Dana Womack, Volunteer Bank, and Wilson Bank & Trust.
