United Way Partners with Child Advocacy Center to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse

United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties partners with the Child Advocacy Center of
Rutherford and Cannon counties to provide programming that educates and addresses the issue of child sexual abuse in the community.

With the emphasis of the 19 Days of Activism campaign to educate the community, United Way Director of Community Impact, Randy Allen, said, “The Child Advocacy Center’s programming aligns with United Way’s priority issue of safe home and community.” United Way hosted Keylon Holloway of the Child Advocacy Center to learn more about the signs of child abuse and services provided in Rutherford County. Allen continued, “Because of United Way’s partnership, the Child Advocacy Center is able to fulfill its mission of providing services to victims of child sexual abuse and education and prevention to the public.” By introducing Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention training to groups of professionals, organizations can come together to solve child welfare issues in Rutherford and Cannon
counties.

One way to get involved with the Child Advocacy Center is to attend this free child sexual abuse prevention training.
