Victim Identified in Wednesday Fatal Shooting in Fast-Food Restaurant Parking Lot

ORIGINAL RELEASE: Police Investigating a Wednesday Night Fatal Shooting Outside a Fast-Food Restaurant

The victim in Wednesday night’s fatal shooting in the parking lot of McDonald’s has been identified as 24-year-old Kevin Washington of Murfreesboro.

Investigators believe Washington and another man got into an altercation outside the S. Rutherford Blvd. fast-food restaurant and exchanged gunfire. Washington was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital.

Detectives said this was not a random shooting, the victim and the other shooter may have known each other. There is no threat to the public.

The case remains under investigation by Criminal Investigations Division detective.
