Tara Melton and Betsy Redmon “Walmart Lifesaver Award” recipients.

This Team was recommended by their Supervisor for their skills and critical thinking for helping a Rutherford County resident. This Team was dispatched to a single car MVA that had struck a tree. This Team realized that the patient of the MVA need a level 1 trauma center due to the injuries and quickly dispatch a helicopter to their location. Patient was extricated from the vehicle and treatments started before air transport arrived. Care was transferred and was flown to Vanderbilt ER. The skills and critical thinking of this crew saved valuable minutes for the injuries and care this patient sustained. Patient is recovering at home. Thank You, Tara and Betsy for caring for Rutherford County Residents as if they were your own family.
