William Gambill obituary

Mr. William Douglas “Doug” Gambill, age 68 of Smyrna, died January 10, 2019. He was born in Ashland, KY to the late William and Mae Litteral Gambill. In high school, he played baseball, football, and ran track. Mr. Gambill enjoyed fishing, surfing, and going to the beach during his younger years. When he wasn’t watching Florida Gators football, he was cooking what he had grown in his garden or smoking barbeque. He worked in construction before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Sheri Gambill; daughters, Kim (Tim) Raybon and Stephanie (Jerry) Agren of Smyrna; brother, Norman Litteral; grandchildren, Steven (Emily), Jordan (Morgan), Miller and JJ; and great grandchildren, David and Eleanor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Corbin and Betty Trent.
