William Howard Harrell obituary
William Howard Harrell, age 94 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Nollie and Hettie Campbell Harrell. Mr. Harrell was also preceded in death by his brothers, Sterling and Glenn Harrell and sisters, Sepal Boren and Pauline Jones.
Mr. Harrell is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mildred Purser Harrell; son, Martin Harrell and his wife Linda of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Blake Harrell of Murfreesboro, TN and Jonathan Hunter Harrell of Memphis, TN; and a brother, Russell Harrell of Atlanta, GA.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service with military honors will be held 1:00 PM Saturday following the visitation with Rev. Brian Harrell and Bill Lee officiating. A graveside service will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Center Hill Cemetery in Cannon County with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Harrell was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, a U. S. Army veteran having served in WWII, and was retired from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center.
