This week’s Powerball drawing created 16,342 winning tickets in Tennessee, including a $50,000 winner in Murfreesboro.
A lucky Tennessee player purchased their ticket at Leanna Market, 4304 Sulphur Springs Road. They won by matching 4 of the 5 white numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number.
According to the Tennessee Lottery website, a prize of this value “must be claimed at any of the Tennessee Lottery’s district offices including the Lottery’s headquarters or by mail.” The prize has not yet been claimed, so no word yet on who the winner is.
The lottery has raised more than $4 billion to fund education programs since January 2004, players have won more than $11.5 billion in prizes and lottery retailers have earned more than $1 billion in commissions, according to a release from officials.
