15th Annual Tip Your Waiter

Table hosting and individual tickets now available! You don’t want to miss the anticipated 15th annual Tip Your Waiter luncheon, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center’s signature annual fundraising event. Tip Your Waiter is an enjoyable and unique luncheon event centered around raising needed funds to assist the agency in providing healing and protective services in our community.

The fast paced luncheon will keep with its tradition of providing musical entertainment, this year showcasing The Cruizin Keys dueling pianos, an engaging show for guests to enjoy. The event coordinators are thrilled to welcome back Bart Barker, with WKRN News Channel 2 as the official host, and this year the event will close with a new Wine & Liquor Pull to further benefit the Center’s work.

Domestic violence and sexual assault remains a growing problem in Rutherford County. Every year the Center is seeing a 5-10% increase is those seeking their help. Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center is the only free service provider to victims in our community who need healing and protective services to overcome the trauma of personal violence.

“Financial insecurities affect over 60% of the population we serve,” Karen Lampert, Executive Director for the center began. “With the generous financial support of our community through Tip Your Waiter, individual gifts and sponsorships the financial burden is relieved and survivors can take the necessary steps towards safety, hope and healing with FREE supportive services.” Lampert continued, “100% of the Tip Your Waiter proceeds stay in the community and provide direct help and services to families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Your financial resources enable us to do good work in the community, for which we are very grateful.”

The Premier Sponsor for this year’s Tip Your Waiter event is Middle Tennessee Emergency Physicians. Additional sponsors include; Body & Face medical cosmetic center, Murfreesboro Magazine, and the DNJ at the Silver Level, and First Vision Bank and VIP Magazine at the Purple Level.

The event, thoughtfully set in April in honor of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, will be held at tones River Country Club on Wednesday, April 17 th , from 12 noon – 1:00 pm.
