Murfreesboro City Schools Seeking Peer Models for Integrated Pre-K

Murfreesboro City Schools is accepting applications for peer models for the Integrated Preschool program at Black Fox and Northfield Elementary.

The MCS Integrated Preschool is a program that offers preschoolers, with and without disabilities, challenging experiences through a language-based curriculum.

Peer models serve as role models and helpers for students with special needs. The integrated Preschool classes use a language-based curriculum emphasizing age appropriate developmental skills and kindergarten readiness skills. Emphasis is placed on transitioning from one activity to another, listening and following directions, social skills, and independent self-help skills.

Peer models must be 4 years old by August 15, 2017 with average to above average speech/language and cognitive skills.

If you are interested in your child being considered as a peer model, please contact Kelly Blanchard, Integrated Preschool Social Worker, at [email protected] or 615-893-2313 to get started.

A monthly fee is associated with the Integrated Preschool program for peer models.  The program is independent of the traditional preschool program offered through Murfreesboro City Schools.
