MTE President and CEO Chris Jones Receives PRSA Nashville Apollo Award
Middle Tennessee Electric President and CEO Chris Jones has been named the recipient of this year’s PRSA Nashville Chapter Apollo Award, one of the organization’s highest individual honors.
The Apollo Award recognizes a Middle Tennessee executive who demonstrates a commitment to sound and thoughtful communication practices within their organization and throughout the community.
Jones was recognized in part for his leadership during the January 2026 ice storm that impacted Middle Tennessee. During the severe weather event, he played a key role in coordinating MTE’s preparation and power restoration efforts while helping lead public communications and outreach to customers and communities across the region.
His leadership and focus on keeping the public informed during a challenging period earned praise and helped demonstrate the importance of effective communication during emergency situations.
