MTSU hosts Education Day for Rutherford County Schools
Over 5,000 Rutherford County Schools students packed Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center for the annual Education Day game field trip on Monday, Nov. 2, to watch the Blue Raider men’s basketball team defeat the Fisk University Bulldogs 117-73.
Held annually, Education Day games are a way for MTSU to partner with Rutherford County Schools to bring students to campus for a college basketball game and sample of college life.
Choir members from MTSU’s partner school, Homer Pittard Campus School, kicked off the game with the singing of the national anthem.
MTSU will host Murfreesboro City Schools students for Education Day on Dec. 3.
