Daniels Center offers individual tickets for Veterans Impact Celebration

Individual tickets for the second MTSU Veteran Impact Celebration are now on sale Monday, June 3, through the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center.

The Veteran Impact Celebration, which will feature the country music legend Daniels, will be held Thursday, June 27, at The Grove at Williamson Place, 3250 Wilkinson Place, near The Avenue and Interstate 24, exit 76 onto Medical Center Parkway, in Murfreesboro.

The event is salute to MTSU student veterans and their families and also serves as a fundraiser for the veteran center’s Transition Home Office, which assists students with their transition from college student to job search to career placement.

“We had so many of our alumni and community that wanted to be a part of last year’s special night, we decided to offer individual tickets for sale for this year’s celebration,” said Shane Smith, assistant director of the Daniels Center.

“We will be showing the impact of student veterans on the campus of MTSU, plus having great food, drinks and entertainment by Mr. Charlie Daniels.”

Individual tickets are $200 or $300 for a two-ticket combo. To buy tickets, which are limited, go online to www.mtsu.edu/veteranimpact.

Smith said full and half tables are also available for purchase by companies or individuals.

At the inaugural event in 2018, more than $170,000 was raised for the Veterans Center, Smith said. Daniels’ Journey Home Project provided a $100,000 donation.

The Daniels Center assists current military, veterans and family members with the move from military to college, then from college to career. On average, there are about 1,000 veterans and family members served by the center, which is the largest and most comprehensive veterans center on any Tennessee higher education campus.

The center is located in Keathley University Center Rooms 124 and 316. For more information, call 615-904-8347.
