‘Creative Movements’ Presents ‘The Move: Fall Into Art’ Sponsored by City of Murfreesboro Art Committee and Cultural Arts Oct. 13

Creative Movements will present “The Move: Fall Into Art” Friday, Oct. 13, on the City Plaza, 111 W. Vine Street in Murfreesboro, 37130, from 6-9 p.m.

The free outdoor event is a celebration of the arts in Murfreesboro. Open to the community, “The Move” is an opportunity to gather for an evening of arts, entertainment and live music.

Artists booths will be set up on the Civic Plaza offering opportunities for attendees to “fall into art as artists perform live demonstrations of various art forms, including painting, dance, and spoken-word.  Children, along with parents, can participate in coloring, interactive art, and enjoy free Fall treats!

“The Move” kicks off at 6 p.m.  The Creatives, “Khaiyrro, Wall-E The Poet, Jazmin Foster, Sandra Williams, Shaveeka Batts, and Miracle Clardy” will hit the stage alongside special guests and bands:  New Suede & MidnightGuru and performances by Miles Creed, Donesha Park and Jeremiah Roper.

The Rotunda at City Hall and this event on the Civic Plaza are being offered in coordination with the Boro Art Crawl, also occurring from 6-9 p.m. that evening.

The Boro Art Crawl occurs every other month, on the second Friday of the month, throughout the year and features a diverse array of local artists and art forms.  “The Move: Fall into Art” event is occurring in conjunction with the October Boro Art Crawl and the Rotunda at City Hall will also be open late as a participating location.   For more information on the current exhibit in the Rotunda at City Hall, visit http://www.murfreesborotn.gov/526/Current-Exhibit.  These events are free and open for all to enjoy the arts.
