Creator of the world-wide sensation “The Evolution of Dance” to perform in Murfreesboro

Recently featured in People Magazine as the world’s first YouTube celebrity, comedian Judson Laipply will bring his humor and dance to Murfreesboro February 6 as part of The Kiwanis Club of Murfreesboro’s annual Comedy for Cause.
After uploading his performance of the dance he choreographed in 2006, Laipply quickly rose to fame. This iconic routine, showcasing decades of popular dances in a six-minute spectacle, catapulted him to fame, amassing over 70 million views in under six months and playing a significant role in YouTube’s rise to prominence.
Regarded as one of the most iconic viral videos of all time, it continues to garner attention, boasting over 300 million views to date, and continues to grow. Laipply was featured on nationally syndicated shows like Ellen and Oprah and his dance caught the attention of many celebrities who were inspired by this work and created their own clips, many of which were shared with Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show.
Joining Laipply on stage will be celebrated comedian Tara Brown. Brown’s humor, which blends wit, relatability and sharp observations about life, allows her to resonate with a wide variety of audiences. Tara was featured on the second season of “Stand Up Nashville” on the Circle Network and can also be found on Dry Bar Comedy.
“This year’s line up is so exciting,” Cutter Eberhart, Kiwanis fundraising chair said. “This will be our first year to have a dance element and our first year to host a female comedian.”
There will be two showtimes, 6pm and 8pm at The Walnut House. Tickets are expected to sell out for both shows so please purchase early if you want to be guaranteed admittance. You may purchase tickets now at borocomedy.com. Tickets are $75 and all funds raised support local children’s charities and initiates in Murfreesboro.
