Music and Movement at Smyrna Public Library

An hour of shaking the sillies out, which is a more accurate description of early childhood development than it sounds. Rhythm sticks, shakers, simple rhymes, and a room where movement is the point rather than the problem.

For toddlers and preschoolers who cannot yet sit through a story time, this is the better first library program — it asks them to move rather than to be still.

When: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Smyrna Public Library
Cost: Free.

Worth noting that all Rutherford County library branches are closed Saturday through Monday for Labor Day, so Tuesday is the first day back.
