Sight Word Snack Attack at Smyrna Public Library

Sight words are the unglamorous engine of early reading, and drilling them at the kitchen table goes badly in most houses. This session dresses the whole thing up as games and gives every child a snack, which changes the mood considerably.

There is book bingo with a book to win, then sight-word games and puzzles. Snack and water are provided for each child.

When: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Smyrna Public Library
Ages: Pre-K through 3rd grade
Cost: Free.

Thirty minutes straight after school, and your child comes out having practiced reading and eaten something. Hard to argue with.
