Gwendolyn Cates obituary
Gwendolyn Cates, age 84 of Smyrna died Thursday June 27, 2019. She was a native of Nashville and was a member of the Church of Christ Church. She was retired from Sears.
Mrs. Cates was preceded in death by her husband, Darrold Cates; daughter, Stephanie Kaye Rader; parents, Grady McGowan and Nellie Olene Walden McGowan.
She is survived by her daughter, Ericka Lynne Edwards of Murfreesboro; son, Larry Edward Cates of Nashville; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters; Barbara Newbern of Antioch, Benita Briggs of Lynnville, TN.
Visitation will be after 12Noon on Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 2PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Ray McGowan will officiate. www.woodfinchapel.com
