Middle Tennessee Electric Bringing Good Energy

Inside MTSU’s Baldwin Photographic Gallery | Free Exhibits, Artist Talks and Workshops

Step inside the Baldwin Photographic Gallery located in the John Bragg building at Middle Tennessee State University. For more than 60 years, the Baldwin Gallery has served as a dedicated space for photography, showcasing powerful exhibitions, hosting visiting artists, and creating hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Each exhibition, whether in the fall or spring, takes up to two years to plan. Beyond displaying photography and related materials, the gallery fosters meaningful conversations by connecting artists with students, faculty, and the community. Every exhibit includes a free public artist talk and a student workshop, giving visitors a deeper understanding of the creative process.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and admission is always free. This space is open to everyone, whether you are a student, photographer, or community member who simply appreciates the art of photography.
