Mayor McFarland also reminds viewers about the “Better Boro Project,” initiated four years ago by the mayor to get residents active and moving with walking, hiking, bird watching and other exercise activities on the Greenway. McFarland responds to a question from Murph about how to become mayor? McFarland explains, “Surround yourself with people who make you better. It’s everyone—teachers, police officers and firefighters—working hard every day to make Murfreesboro a great place to live.”
