MTSU Spring Student Organization Fair Brings Campus Community Together
The Middle Tennessee State University Student Union was buzzing with energy as students gathered for the annual Spring Student Organization Fair, an event designed to connect students with the many opportunities waiting for them beyond the classroom.
Bringing together a wide array of student-led clubs, academic organizations, and special-interest groups, the fair served as a central hub for both new and returning students to explore campus life, make connections, and discover new passions.
Organizers emphasized that the event isn’t just for freshmen.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to come out and meet our clubs and organizations,” one organizer explained. “New students, whether they’re transfers or freshmen, get the chance to build connections, but we want our upperclassmen to do the same.”
At the heart of the fair is the idea of connection where students meet peers, faculty, and campus groups they may not have otherwise encountered. For many students, those connections become an essential part of their MTSU experience.
Journalism major Kirsty Woliver shared how the fair brings people together from all walks of life.
“I like hanging out with people and there are people from tons of different backgrounds,” she said. “It’s cool to see people who normally wouldn’t know one another become close friends. You never know who’s going to walk by and be interested in your organization. It’s super fun to meet everyone.”
Events like the Student Organization Fair continue to play a key role in helping MTSU students find community, discover new interests, and feel at home on campus.
