Murfreesboro City Schools host 7th annual music festival
Murfreesboro City Schools invites the public to experience the music of the MCS Festival Choir on Friday, March 8th. The performance will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Cason Lane Academy’s gymnasium.
This performance will include over 300 students singing in celebration of Music in our Schools Month. The concert will showcase students from across the district including performances from Scales’ Steel de Boro and the Northfield Elementary African Drumming Ensemble.
“The festival is a culmination of Music in Our Schools Month and students will be singing an assortment of songs representing many cultures,” states John Pittard Elementary Music Teacher Valerie Rains. “This is a beautiful experience for our students and families.”
The evening promises to be a spectacular event showcasing the talent of MCS students. All parents, family and friends are encouraged to attend this free Festival Choir concert.
