Redstone Federal Credit Union donates $5,000 to Special Kids

Redstone Federal Credit Union recently donated $10,000 to two charities as it wraps up its 2017 Letters to Santa initiative.

In December, Redstone members and friends helped to brighten the lives of children and families throughout the area by sending letters to Santa. Redstone promised to donate $1 to Christmas Charities Year Round and to Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center for each letter dropped off or emailed through Christmas Eve.

Last week, those charities each received a check for $5,000 from Redstone.

Special Kids of Murfreesboro, Tenn., provides physical, occupational, speech and nursing therapy to children regardless of their ability to pay. “Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in the ‘Letters to Santa’ initiative,’’ said Leigh Ann Lamb, Investor Relations Coordinator at Special Kids.

“Our precious kids loved writing their Christmas wishes and dropping them into the mailboxes.

‘Letters to Santa’ has helped to bring awareness of Special Kids to our community and the monetary gift will be used here to continue providing life-changing therapy and nursing services to families who would not otherwise be able to afford them. Thank you, Redstone Federal Credit Union, for helping us change lives!”

Christmas Charities helps families that have fallen on tough economic times and need basics, such as food, clothing, household goods, school supplies, and Christmas gifts.

“We are so grateful to Redstone Federal Credit Union for including us in their Letters to Santa
campaign,” said Kristin Hays, Executive Director of Christmas Charities.

“Their generous donation will be put right to work serving our Madison County neighbors who
need a helping hand. Thank you, Redstone!”
