TDOT Looks to Expand I-24 from Murfreesboro to Nashville

TDOT is teaming up with the Federal Highway Administration to host public informational meetings about the proposed I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes Project.

The project would widen I-24 by adding two additional lanes in both directions from Murfreesboro to Nashville. These proposed lanes would operate as choice lanes, meaning drivers would pay to use them. The goal is to help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow, especially during peak rush hour times.

If you have questions or want to learn more, you are invited to attend one of the upcoming open meetings:

March 3
5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Smyrna Event Center
100 Sam Ridley Parkway, Smyrna

Doors open at 5:00 PM
Presentation begins at 5:30 PM
Q and A to follow

If you cannot attend the Smyrna meeting, the same presentation will also be held:

March 4 and March 5
5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Coleman Park Community Center
384 Thompson Lane, Nashville

This is your opportunity to ask questions, hear directly from TDOT officials, and learn more about how the proposed expansion could impact your daily commute.
