TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center Joins Smyrna Community Partners to host Smyrna Kids Safety Day
TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is partnering with the Town of Smyrna to host Smyrna Kids Safety Day, a free community event designed to help families prepare for a safe and active summer.
The event will provide hands-on education and activities focused on a variety of important safety topics for children and parents. Families attending can take advantage of free bicycle helmets while supplies last, along with complimentary admission to the Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center. The day will also include a live DJ, interactive family activities, and prize drawings, including the opportunity for children to enter onsite for a chance to win a bike.
A wide range of safety demonstrations and activities will be available throughout the event. These include free car seat safety checks, bike safety education, animal safety tips, fire safety information, gun safety awareness, and water safety guidance covering both boating and pool environments. Additional topics include seat belt safety and vehicle danger awareness. Families can also enjoy indoor rock climbing, face painting, and balloon artists.
Smyrna Kids Safety Day is made possible through a partnership between TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, the Town of Smyrna, Smyrna Parks and Recreation, and the Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, at the Smyrna Event Center located at 100 Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.
Organizers say the goal of the event is to help reduce preventable injuries, which remain one of the leading causes of death among children in the United States. By providing families with practical information and resources, Smyrna Kids Safety Day aims to promote safer habits at home, at play, and on the go.
