Tennessee Tech brings ‘Tech to You’ to Murfreesboro

Tennessee Tech University is hitting the road this fall, giving prospective Rutherford County students and their families the chance to learn more about the university without traveling far from home.

The university’s “Tech to You” event series will make an Oct. 28 stop at the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro. Tech President Phil Oldham will be in attendance to greet prospective students, along with a handful of Tech faculty and admissions personnel.

“Tech to You gives students and families a chance to experience a little of what makes Tennessee Tech special right in their own communities,” said Director of Admissions Jacob Cutshall. “Our team will be there to answer questions, share information about academic programs and campus life, and help students navigate the admissions and scholarship process. Plus, guests can enjoy refreshments and giveaways. It’s a fun, relaxed way to get a better idea of all Tennessee Tech has to offer.”

This year, the university will award Presidential Scholarships – guaranteed scholarships of up to $10,000 per year – for students in attendance who have been admitted for the fall 2027 semester and meet eligibility criteria.

The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is free to attend, but advance registration is encouraged. Students and families can sign up at www.tntech.edu/techtoyou.

Admission to Tennessee Tech is open for fall 2027, and students are encouraged to apply early to maximize their scholarship opportunities. The priority application deadline for scholarships is Dec. 15. Learn more at www.tntech.edu/apply.

Tennessee Tech is rated the No. 1 public university in Tennessee by Money.com and ranked a “Best National University” by U.S. News & World Report. The university offers more than 265 programs of study, and Tech graduates leave with the least debt of graduates from any public university in Tennessee.
